Lk 12,42-44 And
the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall
make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a
truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
Lk 19,12-27 He
said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for
himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered
them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated
him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign
over us. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the
kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had
given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said
unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very
little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he
said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. And another came, saying,
Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I
feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst
not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. And he saith unto him, Out of
thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was
an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore
then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have
required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him
the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.(And they said unto him,
Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath
shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken
away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over
them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
Jn 2,7-10 Jesus
saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the
brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the
feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that
was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the
water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto
him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well
drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Jn 20,18-23
Mary
Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he
had spoken these things unto her. Then the same day at evening, being the first
day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for
fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace
be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his
side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to
them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye
the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and
whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Rom 2-7,8 To
them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and
immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey
the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Rom 6,15-22 What
then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God
forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto
righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have
obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then
made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the
manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded
your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now
yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the
servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in
those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit
unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Col 1-7
As
ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful
minister of Christ;
Col 4-7 All
my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a
faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord:

And
let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being
found blameless.

strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the
afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
